Teaching Assistant/Computer Technician

The Burnt Hills Ballston Lake CSD is seeking a Teaching Assistant (7.
5 hours/day) to serve in the Soar program.
This TA will be responsible for working with students who have a range of individual needs and providing support to help students be successful.
This role will also include a portion of the day being dedicated to all students and staff with level 1 technical support (liaison to the district IT team).
Some specific tasks for an elementary teaching assistant for special education might include:
Supporting students with disabilities in academic activities and lessons Supporting individual students with disabilities in areas such as physical, emotional, and behavioral needs Collaborating with the teacher and other professionals to implement behavior plans for identified students Monitoring student progress and working with the teacher to adjust support and interventions as needed.
Requirements for this job might include previous experience working with students with behavioral needs.
A strong commitment to working as a part of a team and a passion for helping students succeed would also be important for success in this role.
NYS Teaching Assistant certification is required within 40 days of hire.

Job Qualifications Teaching Assistant Certification Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
